What is ColorJet Printing (CJP)

Color Jet Printing (CJP) is a 3D printing process that uses a core and binder to print objects in color. It is a popular rapid prototyping process for the quick fabrication of architectural and demonstration models and multi-colored prototypes. The 3D-printed object can be further smoothened and hardened with a clear or wax coating.

What does the CJP process involve?

In CJP, layer upon layer of fine white powder is spread across the build platform with a roller. Color and clear binders are then selectively deposited from the print cartridge as it moves across each layer to solidify the powder. After the 3D object is printed, loose powder from the model is removed.
